The RANCH

The annual

RANCH event

a Labor Day Weekend tradition since 1991

At summers end of 1991 Leonard and Gloria Chee

took a handful of Ranch Kids on an overnight

campout before a new school year commenced.

No one imagined this small campout would turn

into an annual multi-day event attracting over a

thousand attendees from across the United States.

Three decades later this event is

simply known as RANCH.

WHAT IS RANCH?

The annual RANCH event is difficult

to describe with mere words.

Imagine a place where you can go to enjoy

fantastic music, uplifting messages and

fellowship with family and friends while

relaxing fireside in the cool, crisp early

autumn weather that is northern Arizona.

RANCH offers many reasons to attend;

some come to listen to the Word of God

as presented by various speakers.

Others enjoy participating in the

congregational praise and worship,

while others come to be entertained by

the talented musical performers that

grace The RANCH stage.

RANCH also offers workshops touching upon

personal and emotional issues or current topics.

The subject matter is presented from a

Christian perspective by qualified individuals.

There are also other activities such as a walk

and ATV Trailride for the more adventurous.

At RANCH we stress physical activity and

health in addition to spiritual growth.

The freedom to hold events such as

RANCH would not be possible without

our men and women in uniform.

One of the more attended events is the

Veterans service that recognizes and honors

our past and current military personnel.

Another exciting event is the

Horsemanship workshop presented by

master horseman Tom Chee.

Training a horse is intertwined with learning

to identify and resolve family issues and is

a fascinating demonstration to watch.

One of the mainstays of RANCH is Saturday

evening dinner provided by the

family of the late Charley Long, Sr.

In addition to food, one of the main draws

for many is simply spending time with

family and friends in a camp setting.

From setting up a tent, grilling over an open

fire or simply sitting around a roaring fire,

RANCH is a perfect time spend with

family and simply recharge.

We welcome you to make plans to be

with us next Labor Day Weekend.

THE RANCH TRAILRIDE

One of the most anticipated

events is The RANCH Trailride.

The Trailride often begins weeks before

RANCH as it covers hundreds of

miles across the Navajo Nation.

Outreach to those who may not have heard or

are wanting to hear the Gospel is one of the

main elements of RANCH Hands Ministry.

With onsite services and cookouts The Trailride

presents a great opportunity to reach out to

and fellowship with the local communities.
